I enjoyed the sunrise and the cool morning and as I headed outside I snapped some photos and fed my garden, flower beds and shrubs with Miracle Grow. I am so excited to have noticed lots of buds on the shrubs! I think they just might take. Not sure how long it will take for the sprigs to grow to shrubs to grow to hedges, but since they only have a 25 year life span, I am hoping they grow within my lifespan!!! I seriously expect to notice a growth spurt on them within a couple of years (fingers crossed)! After my watering was complete, I attempted, for a couple of hours, to video a cardinal – but he is obviously video camera shy. It’s hard to believe that a person (moi) can sit for two hours, doing nothing but holding a camera and waiting for the perfect photo-op…see, this IS relaxation at its finest! My only plans for today are to just ENJOY it!

I marked the questionable trees for the electric company and their pending service order to clean them up…along with my note of explanation!

Part of my enjoying the day was watching the drive-thru activity that was occurring at the deck feeder. I sat there while at least a dozen different feathered friends feasted feverously at the feed! It was actually a scary sort of fun. They were getting a bit too close to me for my comfort level, but it did allow for some awesome pictures! I couldn’t snap them, but there were raven black birds; possibly from the oil spill (j/k), and of course a lot of hummingbird activity…those buggers are little and fast. The early evening hours brought out the family of turkeys who were feasting as close as the back deck. I was able to snap a couple of pictures as they ran off into the woods. The air temperature got quite cool as the sun was finishing up the awesome job it had done today. The skies stayed blue and it was a perfect day until the sun worked its way into a sunset!
