Everyday around here is like a new crime drama. First the stolen seed, then the break-in to the roof line, and then the missing suet holders. I think the suet holders are in Frank’s trailer along with our missing aluminum pans from last year! I think this is a great plot line for a new series: OCI – O’Wich Crime Investigations, Fridays at 9:00 only on the Wildlife Channel!

I put down the new area rug I bought and am hoping it will not show the dirt like the lighter colored one did. By 1:30, everything was back in place and I was comfortably perched in front of the television enjoying the imaginary lives of my soap friends. When my shows were over, I visited with Paul and Betty for a couple of hours and chatted with guy on the road when I was on my way back. He said his friend’s car got stuck on a sand hump along the pines. So glad I am not going out. I weeded when I got back and was somewhat exhausted from my hectic day!

I thought I was having visitors, only to find the family of turkeys were crossing the drive on their was to the seed pile!
The weather radio was alerting me to tornado watches starting in the early evening. I was also getting the text messages that I signed up for. These alerts lasted most of the evening. At one point it was pitch black outside – then a bright red. Since there are limited safe places to go, I grabbed a huge flashlight and sat under the table in the Eatery. The power went out a couple of time – like brown outs. The rain was coming down hard and loud and I almost starting screaming out for Toto, when I realized I didn’t even own a dog! I was relieved when the storm passed and the warnings had expired. The rain continued. I knew the storms must have been finished though when the raccoon came to feast. The feeder was empty so he attempted to get into the garbage can, but I had corded it closed and luckily it kept him from getting into it. The weather stress pooped me out and it was time to end this stormy day!
