Today Wendy and her family are stopping by for a visit and dinner. I am so excited she/they can come for the afternoon!

So the morning went quickly…the electric guy came and checked the lines and removed some branches, the birds were active again this day and the potential new neighbor, Carla, stopped by for another quick visit since she is seriously considering buying Rick’s cedar cabin. I spent the majority of the day picking up more twigs and branches – it’s like weeding out pin heads from hay stacks AND never ending: TREES GO AWAY!
I finished up so other outside chores and watched TV until my visitors arrived around 5:30. The kids didn’t care for the drive down the sandy flooded road and Sarah was trying to convince me there had to be another road outta here! Zach and Ben were the first up to the loft to investigate, followed by Caleb and Sarah. The kids were also suppertime for the mosquitoes, which obviously - from the looks of the bites the kids were getting, had had enough of me – time for new blood! We hung around long enough for the kids and Wendy, to stretch their legs from the ride from Minnesota until hunger set in. Thinking McD was not good since three of the four were wearing sandals, I was quickly informed that it is the “toy” that they wanted to go for! Enough said and duly noted!!!

We snapped some photos before the unwanted trek back down the road and headed for dinner. After we ate, we drove to Wal-Mart where they prepared for the rest of their ride home and I picked up some stuff I didn’t need! We had a great visit and I am so happy they could stop by! I spent the rest of the evening watching a little TV and a raccoon on the deck. My flash keeps ruining the photo when it reflects on the glass…not really sure how to capture this bandit!
