As you can see, the duct is in the floor and new OSB installed. When they removed the deck boards there now was a trip area. The door is sitting on the exisiting deck and when the boards were removed from the inside, there was a 1 1 /2" difference, hence, the trip area. To the top of threshold it was approximately
2 1/2" higher than the new floor on the inside. To solve this problem they will remove the rest of the deck boards on the top landing and put 3/4" treated plywood down and lower the new door to the plywood and that would take care of the trip area on the inside. This will be protected by the covered roof and can be carpeted or turfed. Also, they got a lot of drywall up today. It looks really large in there...25' from the patio door to the front!
