March 13, 3014

Sorry about the bad pictures, I think someone was having camera problems! (Remember that the date is off and the pix were actually taken on March 13 - I think!)

They had to brace all of the roof rafters up so they could remove wall. They needed to temporarily stud and insulate to keep the furnace from running constantly. They said it got pretty cold during the nights.

The photos show a portion of the removal material on the ground and the LVL beams in the back of Garry's truck. He said they should have them installed on the 14th. Also they had to put a brace from the center high beam above fan to keep roof from collapsing. This sounds super scary!!! He did say this is the most dangerous part of this, or any remodel. Once the beam is in place, they can remove all the temporary bracing and the height opening should end up at about 6'7".

Then Garry signed off his email with the following: Should have more pictures tomorrow of beam installed and of the roof collapse. Just kidding!
